night duty regulations. posted copy — four thumbtack holes. enacted june 1993, amended november 7, 1994.
rule 1: two-person teams, no moving alone. rule 2: swap recording tapes at exactly 03:00, no gaps. rule 3: in fog below 50 meters visibility, stop outdoor patrols.
rule 4, added november 7: for fifteen minutes after power is restored from an outage, suspend outdoor observation — the director personally reviews the fixed-camera tape from that window.
rule 5, added the same day, underlined by hand on this copy: "visual observation from windows is forbidden after 02:00. observe through equipment only."
rule 6: if you hear a sound you cannot identify, log it. do not answer it.
rule 7: questions about why these rules exist will not be taken.
